Can you explain the purpose of the "razor sharp spring-like blade" attached to the main blade? There is some frustration in the user community that the mfg does not describe how this knife is supposed to work.
Thank you for your question. Yes, the manufacturer's description can be a little confusing. They appear to be referring to the razor sharp tip of the blade, which makes for easy cutting through the fiberous meat of the fruit. The spring-like qualities refer to the entire blade which can curve with ease and slice between the meat of the fruit and the outer peel. When you're done cutting, the knife "springs" back into it's original, straight shape. I hope that answer helps you to better understand how to cut your grapefruits with this knife.

Frustrated that the mfg does not describe this knife, it has a razor sharp spring like blade attached to the main blade, but no explanation anywhere.
